When I met Erotokritosfor the first time, I've been captivated by his eyes, his look was so intense and interesting, I decided I had to interview him and make pictures with him.
That's how I got the idea of this colomn : "Dressed by..." in wich I will invite every month a new designer to dress me, pose with me and then talk to me about their inspiration.
Being dressed by Erotokritos is more than a privilege, it's a dream. He loves so much to dress women and take out the best of them that he really played the game, a great style job.
Here are the two looks made by Erotokritos :
The first one is an everyday look, boardroom chic meets simplicity.
"I like the colors and the structure of this look that makes you look like a modern Godard heroine." says Erotokritos
The other look is a cocktail dress.
"Very dressy and sexy, I choose it to contrast with your natural attitude" explains Erotokritos. And the he tells me about 60's icons with long hair and Birkin spirit.
His inspiration ? He finds it in old movies, in 70's pictures, in the street, everywhere... But he is a huge fan of the Nouvelle Vague. He also loves actresses, from Romy Schneider to Faye Dunnway.
His vision of women : A queen, an artis, a lover and a worker, but not a static doll or a classic working woman. A creative person who does not stick to clichés.
When I ask him to define his style he says that everybody keeps trying to put him into a box but he never really fits. He says "I don't feel like I have to do what people think I am doing".
Freedom, it is Erotokritos's secret, and that's what makes him so luminous.
