Guillaume Henry left Givenchy to give his unique vision to the legendary but discreet brand Carven.
Everywhere in the newspapers and fashion magazines they say he is THE upcoming designer.
The spirit he wanted to give to his first collection for Carven is the idea of a young french student fresh and sparkling who have fun with fashion and plays with feminine and masculine codes.
Guillaume Henry Takes his inspiration from the street. He watches the funny mix people make especially on sunday morning to go quickly buy some croissants at the baker around the corner... for him it's the best source of new ideas in the world !
He is also cinemagoer and in the movies, it's more the universe of the characters thant the actress wich catches his attention. For example his new collection for Carven is inspired by Charlotte Gainsbourg's character in "La petite voleuse".
Guillaume Henry thinks I look like the Carven girl : Long legs, long straight hair... It will be very easy to dress me he says.
So easy that we couldn't stop playing with the collection ! Instead of two looks he made five for me, here they are :
The first one : A shirt-dress, he started it with one of his shirts, and made a skinny bottom to make it more feminine.
I love this dress so cool for hot summer days
The next three looks go from the same base : One mini skirt and a bustier. Guillaume Henry likes the idea of multiple look with simple basic pieces. An esay look perfect from day to night.
Night look with only the bustier and the skirt
The look is so comfortable, and even if it is very sexy it's really simple and nice to wear
Student look with a cropped sweater and a brazilian lucky brracelet :
It's my favourite look, I love its fickleness and the twist between the very élégant material of the skirt and the plastic bracelet.
Executive woman look, perfect bordroom chic with the shoulder-padded jacket and gold cuffs :
Less my style but the silhouette is still very interesting !
Last look, the perfect little black dress, the one that gives you so much confidence you can dance all night, it's so sparkling !
